Scituate Soccer Club Fall 2024 / Spring 2025 Evaluations
|
What to expect at the tryout
There will be a series of drills setup to score each player on technical and tactical abilities. Tryouts will have a mix of SSC board members, SSC coaches/coordinators, and local varsity soccer coaches scoring the players. This information, coupled with feedback from the player's current coach (if applicable), is used to create teams for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Teams may chage from Fall to Spring.
What to expect after the tryout
Players will be placed on a team based on their tryout and evaluation data. Based on the division, there could be 2-5 teams. The top 1-2 teams are "ranked" and the other teams are "balanced". The ranked teams look to include the highest performing players in that division. The balanced teams look to have players of varying abilities distributed across the teams. All teams play in the Coastal Youth Soccer League. Division 1 and Division 2 house ranked teams. Coutts division is for balanced teams.
Your player(s) team will be communicated by August 1. Uniform ordering information through We Got Soccer will also be provided.
You must register your player for them to participate in evaluations.Travel Evaluation Schedule

We participate in the
Coastal Youth Soccer League and games are usually played on Saturdays. Within the club, one team/division training will be held during the week. For players new to Scituate SC travel, information to purchase uniforms will be provided in July.
We can not run the club without the help of our volunteers and we are very thankful to all who support the organization. Please consider becoming a coach or a practice volunteer to help us with the development of the players and the program.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Additionally, if you or someone you know may need financial assistance with registration or uniforms, please email
